Dr. Tamera Hatfield is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She received her medical degree from UC Irvine, where she also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. In addition, she holds a PhD in neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She treats high-risk pregnancy patients and has a particular interest in managing maternal conditions that complicate pregnancy as well as ensuring appropriate referral and multidisciplinary approach to pregnancies affected by fetal conditions. Her primary practice is at University of California Irvine where she on faculty but also serves as MFM director at St. Joseph’s hospital and oversees the Maternal Diabetes and Wellness Center. She has served as Co-Chair for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Council for the Department of OB/Gyn for the past year with a specialized focus on improving healthcare delivery and outcomes for disadvantaged women.
